CU 6.03My Personal Timeline
The child builds a timeline of their own life with one section per year and places photographs and events in order.
Presentation

Recall the birthday walk: 'Each time around the sun is one year.'

Unroll the strip. Say: 'This is a timeline. Each section is one year of your life.'

Mark the beginning: 'This is the day you were born.'
- 4
Look at the photographs with the child and ask which came first.
- 5
Place the photos in order along the strip.
- 6
Ask the child what they could do at each age (walk, talk, ride a bike). Write it under each photo.

Glue the photos and label the ages.

Control of error
The dates on the backs of the photos (written by the family) show the correct order.

Guide note
Some children are adopted or in foster care and may not have early photos. Let them use drawings, or start the timeline wherever the family chooses.
