The child looks at a color tablet, walks across the room, and brings back the matching tablet from memory.

Presentation

Place one set of tablets on a table across the room; keep the other set on your table.

Show the child one tablet from your set and let them look at it, then put it face down.
- 3
Ask the child to go to the far table and bring back the same color, without taking the first tablet along.

The child places the tablet next to yours; turn yours over and compare.
- 5
Continue with the other colors.
Extensions, easiest to hardest
- Show two colors at once to be remembered and brought back.
- Place the second set in another room.
- Use Color Box 3: bring the tablet one shade darker or lighter than the one shown.
Control of error
Comparing the two tablets side by side shows whether they match.
